In the tile-placement, mine-building gameMines of the Sacred Dragon, players take turns building mines or expanding existing mines in order to score victory points (VPs). When a player has 0-1 mine tokens remaining or the draw pile is depleted, the game ends after the final player has finished his turn.

Players then score points one VP for each solitary mine, with extra points for connecting mines and the player with the most points wins. In case of a tie, the player with the larger set of connecting mines wins; if tied again, the tied player who took the later turn wins.
